It is OK to draw inspiration from other products or projects but please make sure to contextualize.

Case in point (the image below). This board was seen at a construction site in India. The temperature is in Fahrenheit, but who in India measures temperature in Fahrenheit (other than when you get a fever). Probably this idea of the board was from some other country. Secondly, the whole countdown clock. Why would anyone care about the seconds, minutes or hours to completion. Any buyer of such a property is not going to be waiting outside the gate for the clock to hit zero and then rush in to their apartment. Days counting down should have been enough but no one gave it a thought. This idea was probably from a movie release trailer, where this would make sense, because the first show would have a set time.

Copy but please understand your audience, your project and then contextualize the idea.
